Vigo County Public Library is seeking a Special Collections Manager to manage the day-to-day operations and workflows in the Special Collections department, evaluate, acquire, and maintain collections and content, and develop and implement operational and strategic goals that promote discovery, access, and community engagement with resources and services. The Special Collections Manager is responsible for the overall management and development of a distinctive community resource for local history with access to unique collections and services.
The Special Collections Manager position requires a Master's degree in Library Science, and a Special Collections or Archives Specialization is preferred. A successful candidate is a team focused creative individual with at least three or more years of professional experience and supervisory, management/administrative experience.
This non-exempt full-time management position offers 40 hours per week in the Special Collections Department of the Main Library.
