Come Visit the West Branch Library

Located next to the West Terre Haute Community Center, the West Branch is a single-level building with ease of access for all customers. The West Branch features:

  • A self-check out station
  • Self-service pickup for holds
  • A computer area with seventeen Windows 7 computers
  • Public Wi-Fi
  • An on-staff State Notary
  • A dedicated teen area
  • A dedicated children's area
  • A certified Nature Explore outdoor classroom
  • Two meeting rooms and a full kitchen available for reservation

Patrons to the West Branch can use their library card to place holds on items from either the Main Branch of West Branch to pickup at their convenience. Patrons can also check out an iPad Air or Nexus 7.

Fit & Fab Moms Baby Program

Parents, come work out and play with your baby at the same time! Erin Gregory, a certified fitness instructor, will be here to teach parents/caregivers effective exercise moves that will encourage parents to stay fit and active in and out of the home. The exercises will be strength focused including: baby bicep curls, baby squats, baby crunches, and more as the goal of the class is to educate parents about fitness and help them to get excited about leading a healthy, active life with their new addition to the family.

Come and enjoy fitness with your little one! Parents of tots ages 3-5 will learn various cardio and yoga exercise moves that can be performed together. Learn awesome skills to become an Ornithologist, Botanist, Geologist and Entomologist during this do-it-yourself program with the Vigo County Parks and Recreation Department.  Earn a patch with each skill completion.  Patches provided by the Vigo County Parks and Recreation Department. Monday 6/27 is sign up and information day.  Activities run 6/28 through 7/1/16.
