Content and Scope of the Collection

This collection contains publicity flyers promoting the library's Brown Bag series of adult noontime programs. The Brown Bag programs have been coordinated through the Community Services Department and feature mostly local performers or speakers on a wide range of topics from art and travel to science and local history. Some Brown Bags are co-sponsored by other community organizations, the Friends of the Vigo County Public Library, or the Indiana Humanities Council and may feature special speakers from outside the Wabash Valley. Note: Publicity material for Brown Bag programs which were part of a larger grant or series of programs will be in separate collections (Murder in the Library, Writers Live at the Library, etc.)

The publicity flyers and bookmarks in this collection were produced in-house through the Publications Department and two copies are immediately transferred to Archives to document the various programs and activities sponsored by the Vigo County Public Library.
