Content and Scope of Collection

The Poets Club of the Indiana State Teachers College was organized "in order that the students interested in verse writing might enjoy exchange of ideas, criticism and friendship with others of kindred interest." ("Foreword," Pied Pipings, 1929.) The Club was founded November 1928 by faculty member Mary McBeth.

This collection was generated from random materials in the Special Collections area. It contains several issues of the Club's publication, Pied Pipings - an annual volume of poetry written by faculty, students, and alumni of the Indiana State Teachers College.
