Content and Scope of Collection
The Welcome Club was established in 1949 "to promote and cement lasting friendships for new neighbors in Terre Haute, and to enrich the life and welfare of the members." (Scrapbook #1)
The collection contains 17 scrapbooks/albums of newspaper clippings, photographs, membership lists and memorabilia which chronicle the activities of the club. Also included are original notes, news releases and newsletters from the publicity coordinator's notebook.
