Content and Scope of Collection

This collection contains materials about the origins of the Terre Haute Symphony Association and several versions of its constitution. In addition, there are large amounts of material on the following subjects: fund raising; letters from the office of the president (chiefly to the board); programs and performers. There are photographs of the orchestra; individual musicians; conductor James Barnes and people working behind the scenes. A clippings file is arranged in chronological order and there are financial records for the years 1958-1966.
