The Taxpayers Association was organized in 1936 as a non-profit, non-partisan organization funded solely by voluntary memberships and devoted to the interests of all taxpayers in Vigo County.

This collection includes a series of annual reports compiled by the Taxpayers Association from 1962 to the present. These reports show the structure and personnel of government in Terre Haute and Vigo County and provide assistance in analyzing local tax and budget information.
