Content and Scope of Collection

This collection is comprised of a scrapbook of newspaper clippings concerning public and parochial schools, colleges and universities in Terre Haute.  The scrapbook was compiled by the staff of the Emeline Fairbanks Memorial Library.

There is a complete list of Terre Haute High School graduates from 1867 to 1898 on page 119.  The school was later renamed Wiley High School in honor of Terre Haute's first superintendent of schools.
