Surgeon in Charge Hospital 

                             Sir
                                 The Bearer Abram Slough
1st Sergeant Co. A 59th. Ind ~ Has been in
feeble health for Some Months with
Chronic Diarrhea ~ It would facilitate
his recovery if he Can be Sent to a Northern
hospital ~ I am convinced that his recovery
is far in the future & doubtful if he is
Compelled to remain in this climate
  Will  You favor My wishes respecting him
