Students work on guitar techniques and musical concepts through engaging games and activities. Guitars are supplied to students in-class.This summer, the Terre Haute Guitar Club classes for ages 5-8, 9-12 and 13-16 are free of charge and will be held at the Vigo County Public Library. Join together on a mission of kindness. This evening will introduce a Peyton Heart Project Ambassador who works to share the program bringing awareness to bullying, suicide and mental health issues. Learn to make a variety of hearts with special messages that every life matters. You will leave this program equipped to spread the message throughout your world. Pizza will be served on the evenings of Monday June 26th and July 10th.

Learn awesome skills to become a Botanist on Tuesday, Gardener on Wednesday, Forester on Thursday and Zoologist on Friday during this weeklong adventure with the Vigo County Parks and Recreation Department. Earn a patch at the completion of each skill. Choose one skill or complete them all. Orientation Day, Monday, June 12th, required for participation. Explorers will hike to Wabashiki Wetlands on Friday, June 16th with a VCPRD Naturalist. Participants must wear comfortable shoes and play clothes all week. Sunscreen, hats and insect spray are suggested for outdoor play. Call 812-462-3392 to register.

Take a break at the West Branch with four fun-filled afternoons. Spring Break in West Terre Haute comes to the community through a partnership with Hamilton Center, Purdue Extension, bricks4kidz, the VCPL Youth Services and Tech Team Departments, plus other special guests. Programs run Monday through Thursday from 1PM-4PM each day and registration is required. Parental involvement and participation are encouraged at all young peoples' events and programs.
