Elementary age students please join us for interactive activities while learning an understanding of financial literacy. Students will learn how to save by spending less than they earn and also gain an understanding of what borrowing means. Our financial heroes will leave with money concepts to use now and in the future.

Join Karen Land and her Alaskan Husky Romano as they take you on a journey to the Alaskan wilderness. Karen, a Hoosier native, is a three-time participant in the 1,150 mile Iditarod Sled Race. Along with Romano, her retired sled dog, Karen will share her experiences as she raced with her dog team through some of the world's toughest terrain!

Stacey Faith, Nutrition and Health Educator from Purdue Extension will discuss why eating healthy gives us the energy to be the best that we can be. Take part in a delicious smoothie-tasting demonstration and then it’s outside to meet our local First Robotics team 5188 and their heroic robot. This is a great chance to learn what robotics is all about.

Join us for music and movies at the West Terre Haute Little League Ballpark. The Lemon Brothers Band will kick off the fun with an outdoor movie to follow. This is a free event for families in the community. Our summer reading 2015 theme is, “Every Hero Has a Story.” Adults and children can sign up for summer reading and get started towards our Vigo County Community Goal.
