Dr. Betty Hart, University of Southern Indiana professor, will discuss Zora Neale Hurston's life while highlighting her Haitian experiences and Hurston's deliberate challenges to the status quo of the women of her time and how that has influenced women today. Dr. Hart will also reference local women and their historical impact.
