The Community School of the Arts at Indiana State is offering a free workshop at the VCPL that celebrates ISU's sesquicentennial and creates awareness of International Peace Day. The workshop, on June 28, 10 am-12 pm, invites participants to create pinwheels that will form a larger, public installation in early fall, 2016. With the help of the community, the art project will consist of over 300 pinwheels, to be displayed at the VCPL September 21-29 with an opening reception at the Library on International Peace Day, September 21, 5-6 pm. This event is free and open to the public. Children under the age of 8 years must be accompanied by an adult. All materials are supplied.

The Sparkettes, a dance team made up of young women will here to teach a hip hop dance routine.
