The VCPL Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is again participating in the city-wide Lemonade Day festivities with a lemonade stand outside the main entrance of the library during the Friends of the Library’s annual Book Sale. The teens will make and serve lemonade and homemade lemon slushes and shake-ups. All profits will be donated to the Friends of the Library as a thank you for their continued support of teen programs.
Teens going into grades 7-12 next fall and interested in volunteering at the library this summer should attend this information session or the one on May 23 with a parent to learn more about VCPL’s Teen Volunteer program and opportunities. Call Young People's Department at 232-1115 for information.
Learn how to play chess or test your skills in a game with an experienced chess player! The VCPL Chess Club is open to young people of all ages and skill levels. It meets twice a month from 6:00-7:30 p.m. and is led by Justin and Erin McAdams. No registration is required. Call Youth Services for more information at 232-1115. Sponsored by the Friends of the Vigo County Public Library.
