Immerse yourself in theatre. Each week we will learn about a different aspect of theatre from auditioning to acting as well as making and building a set. There will be a performance on the final Tuesday.

This program is created with children ages 3-5 in mind.  Along with parents and caregivers, we do a half hour librarian- led story time and a half hour of free choice play. STEAMPunk-Zoology

Classify animals, learn about the mathematical patterns in fur, build your own animal, learn about how different animals move, eat, and regulate their temperatures, and much more!

Fire safety is a very important skill to know.  The Terre Haute fire fighters will be on hand to show us how to use fire prevention tips. Children will watch a video about how to prevent fires from occurring and see what a fire fighter looks like in his or her gear.  If the weather permits, the fire truck will be here, and part of the program will be held outdoors.  Sparky the fire dog will be here to pose for pictures with the children.

Handwriting Without Tears

Handwriting Without Tears teaches beginning literacy and fine motor skills through multisensory activities perfect for those with physical disabilities and kids on the spectrum. Instructors are prepared to adapt the lessons to meet specific needs.  This program is a collaboration between ISU's Community School of the Arts; ISU's Occupational Therapy program and Saint Mary of the Woods Music Therapy program. Dr. Paula Jarrard (supervisor) and Occupational Therapy graduate students, along with Prof Sharon R. Boyle (supervisor) and Music Therapy undergraduate students, will facilitate sessions. To register or for more information, please call the Community School of the Arts at (812) 237-2528. Early registration is advised, as enrollment is limited to 14 students.
