Preschool Storytime

Preschoolers are invited to join us at the library for an interactive half hour of song, dance, crafts, and stories!  Ages 3-5 will get interaction with other children while working on enhancing skills important to their development.  Storytime will start at 10:00am and optional 30 minute free play will be offered after storytime until 11:00am.  For further information contact the library at 812-232-1113.

Eclipse Party

Ages 0-5:  Experience the solar eclipse with projects and entertainment provided by the Terre Haute Children's Museum and the Library.  The eclipse will be best viewed at 2:22 p.m.  We will provide solar eclipse glasses so that you can view this natural phenomenon safely.

All ages: Explore rare materials and artifacts from the Vigo County Public Library Special Collections department, including items from Wiley High School and West Terre Haute High School, presidential letters form Harry S. Truman and Calvin Coolidge, Helen Keller's letters and signatures and World War I bond posters.  Some items have never been publicly displayed and will only be available for viewing during this event.
