Families of kids in grades K-5 will have the opportunity to learn about the "Pillowcase Project," an American Red Cross program sponsored by Disney. It originated in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, when children carried their belongings in pillowcases to shelters. Erin Luken from the local Red Cross will be here to teach families about personal and family preparedness, local hazards, and basic coping skills. Children will decorate a pillowcase that they can use to build a personal emergency supplies kit if they wish. Free books while supplies last. No registration required. Call Youth Services for information at 232-1115.
Construction Heroes: The Vigo County Public Library Youth Services Department will be closed Monday, August 3 through mid-November.
