Located next to the West Terre Haute Community Center, the West Branch Library is a single-level building with ease of access for all customers. The West Branch Library features:

  • A computer area with seventeen Windows 7 computers

  • An on-staff State Notary
  • A dedicated teen area
  • A dedicated children's area
  • A certified Nature Explore outdoor classroom
  • Two meeting rooms and a full kitchen available for reservation

Patrons to the West Branch Library can use their library card to place holds on items from either the Main Branch of West Branch Library to pickup at their convenience. Patrons can also check out an iPad Air.

In Susan Collins' now-classic novel The Hunger Games, a post-apocalyptic North America is divided into twelve districts that are exploited by the wealthy Capitol for both resources and deadly amusement. After watching the film, discuss the differences between the movie and the book, the nature of dystopian worlds, and the examples of good versus poor leadership in the nation of Panem.

Learn to play the guitar and better understand basic music concepts like melody, rhythm and chords with the West Vigo Guitar Club.  The club will meet as a group for free instruction from September through November.  No music experience is required, but space is limited.
